Fragments of Hohenems

Fragmente, a photo book with textual content, was created in direct collaboration with the beautiful city of Hohenems in Vorarlberg. As the title suggests, it is a snapshot, a fragment of a city that, like the entire world, is in constant transformation. If I had to describe the style of the photos in this book, I would most likely assign it to the category „Street Photography“.

The French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson created an image style in 1930s Paris that has lost none of its fascination to this day. On the contrary, in times of fast food photography and social media, it has become valuable to us again to see the true and honest image. That is what this book is a fragment, an assembly of impressions that may be as diverse as the people themselves. These pictures have one thing in common: they carry the feeling of being in Hohenems or of being „Hohenemsers“.
